Loving Yourself

Loving myself wasn’t loud at first.
It was a whisper.
A gentle shift.
A soft no where I once said yes too quickly.

It was choosing sleep over proving.
Peace over people-pleasing.
Truth over titles.

I stopped shrinking to fit
rooms that dimmed my light.
I stopped apologising
for the fire in my voice
and the softness in my soul.

I realised:
Self-love is not selfish.
It’s strategic survival.

I am not waiting for someone else
to name my worth.
I already wear it.

So now, I walk taller.
Speak slower.
Dream louder.

Because loving myself
is the most radical legacy
I’ll ever leave behind.
